About

Asher Williamson

Asher Williamson is a sole trader at Enhance Function. Asher started her career as an Exercise Physiologist on the Sunshine Coast working in private practice with a large caseload of patients with chronic pain and autoimmune diseases. She then moved north and commenced work for a Community Controlled Aboriginal Health Service. During this time she worked in Mount Isa and Normanton providing Exercise Physiology services within a Primary Health Care Clinic as well as a Drug and Alcohol Recovery centre and Youth Mental Health Service. She was involved in developing the Allied Health service and worked along side podiatrists, dietitian, occupational therapists, physiotherapist and speech therapists on a daily basis. Asher then returned home to Roma where she worked for QLD Health for a year completing project work for frail and older persons and providing clinical support to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation groups in Roma and St George. 

After welcoming her first baby into the world and having some time away from the workforce, Asher has now developed Enhance Function.

As well as being an Accredited Exercise Physiologist Asher has additional training in wellness coaching, dry needling, massage and cultural competence (specifically on Kalkadoon, Kukatj, Gkuthaarn, Kurtijar and Mandandanji Country).

She has also completed extended training around

Exercise Management for;

- Pre and Post Natal Care

- Breast and Prostate Cancer 

- Chronic Disease Management 

- Mental Health and Addiction 

- Cardiorespiratory Care 

- Pulmonary Care

- Chronic Pain
